Dr. Shroyer grew up in Denver, Colorado and obtained his undergraduate degree in physics from the University of Utah, where he received a full academic scholarship. Afterwards he moved to New York to complete medical school at SUNY Stony Brook. Dr. Shroyer performed his medical internship at Northwell Health before returning to Stony Brook hospital for his diagnostic radiology residency, where he was selected as chief resident and won awards in resident teaching. He went on to complete two fellowships at Stony Brook hospital in emergency radiology and musculoskeletal imaging.

Dr. Shroyer is an expert in orthopedic oncology, rheumatologic, podiatric, and sports imaging, with a focus on diagnostic sonography and ultrasound guided interventions. He enjoys teaching and has developed a variety of lecture series with an emphasis on radiology physics. He is American Board of Radiology certified as well as a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the Long Island Radiological Society, and the Skeletal Society of Radiology.

Dr. Shroyer lives in Hanover, MD with his wife Sandi and their two dogs.
